But giving them the ‘fish’ doesn’t teach them how to fish. This line of thinking exasperates entrepreneurial friction – the #1 killer of momentum .
Momentum is the entrepreneurial drug that’s sought by business owners and CEO’s across the world. Once an entrepreneur feels the rush of momentum, they want to take another ‘hit.’
So they go and buy another product or program. Or go listen to another podcast, or watch another webinar.
And rarely do these things solve the problem. In fact, they tend to make things worse because they are only another “fish.”The distractions and ‘cognitive overload’ that’s experienced by entrepreneurs in the 21st century is unprecedented.
There are so many things to focus on that nothing gets done. By focusing on everything, we end up focusing on nothing.
Remember:
- What you focus on you find
- What you focus on seems real
- What you focus on grows
- What you focus on you become
A mile wide and an inch deep is a recipe for spinning your wheels, month after month, year after year.
